Holiday Blog Contests

The holiday season brings a flood of new contests. During Thanksgiving, and Christmas, everybody is giving away tons of stuff. Some people think it’s because they are in a giving spirit, I think it’s honestly just wise marketing, trying to take advantage of the holidays.

Regardless, it seems like every blog is putting out a new contest. What does this mean for you? “Free Stuff Time.” Yes that is a patented, mastersofseo.com term, you can only use it if you give me a link lol. So since everyone is doing contests, we need to take advantage of this. I’m going to present you the best way in my mind.

Ok first, find every single contest you can. And then do all of the easy things to get points, like adding on twitter, technorati, stumbling… Next, the biggest way of getting points, is by linking to the blog post. But who wants to write a whole blog post about somebody else contest, for the purpose of winning it. So I got to thinking, and realized why not put them all in one? Make one blog post, where you can summarize all the contests, show your readers which ones are worth entering, and also get the precious points. So here are several contests that I’m entered in, and you can enter and start a blog post about as well. Also, alot of times they give you extra rewards for linking to all the sponsors as well. So just have a better article, and list the prizes and sponsors as well, that’s what people want to see anyway.

Summary of Contest

Like most contests, it has the typical prizes. They are valuable sure, for your online work, but the best prizes are ones you can use offline. Those are the ones that gets you lots of links. So as far as typical blogs contests goes, it’s better then average I think. He’s got some more popular blogs in there like datmoney, and mrjavo, as well as some valuable blog themes. The real reason this is a good one to enter, is because I just earned 8 points for this post alone. I’ll already be a top runner for prizes.
