How to Improve your Technorati Ranking

By admin

*Note*

I was told what I said didn’t make complete sense when I wrote this, so I’m going to explain again. Basically there’s a list of links. Right now, it’s just my blog, mastersofseo.com What you do, is pretty much copy this entire post, and make it a post on your blog, and copy my list, and include your blog  with mine.  And then comment with the link to your site. Then I’ll add your blog to my list thus giving you a link. The possibilities with this are incredible, because then my readers will keep commenting adding link mine and your links to their sites. And your readers will do the same. And Everytime a new person does the post, we all get a new link, and all there readers join and add our links as well. It can fly around the blogging world in hours. So that’s the point, I hope that made a little bit more sense.

I want to combine with you, to help all of our blogs get better technorati rankings. So here’s what you need to do. There are four simple rules.

  1. Copy The List Below into a blog post of yours.
  2. Add Your Link To The List
  3. Comment On This Post So That We Can Update The List With Your Link
  4. Watch Your Authority Sky-Rocket..

The key is just to get alot of people to do it. I got the idea from another blogger, and his technorati ranking is 17,000 largely because of this post. So let’s see how successful we can do with it. Just comment with your blog, and write a post about it on your blog.

The first blog, mastersofseo.com

And I will Update The List Daily, to add your blogs.

Please Ping Technorati Once You Post The List To See Faster Results.

You may be afraid of Google thinking that this list is a “Link Train” and might be labeled spam. In order to combat that, please add a Rel=”Nofollow” to each link in the list.

Don’t forget to promote this article via social networking and word of mouth.. It only means better results for yourself and everyone on the list.

Also please digg and stumble the article, so that we can get better results from it.

The best way to do it is not this way at all. Find a list of blogs that have the top commentators widget on it. Like John Chow and Shoemoney and FeedFlare.ca and get on it by leaving good relative comments and stay on it. When ever there is a new post and the site updates and your name is still in the sidebar it counts as a link back to your site, a new link every time theirs an update and you get technorati rank. I got to under 100k in less then two weeks doing this. Actually I think it got to 40k technorati rank.

Try it, it works and Google cant do shit about it.

ACtually Colin I would disagree. Though this way may have a lesser chance of success. It’s possibilties are endless. Every new person who joins the chain, will be reaching more and more readers, giving you more links. For simply a post you can get an incredible technorati ranking. However your right, that your way works to, and that way you get to control the variables which is nice. So I suppose it’s just whatever works for you.

You can also improve your Technorati ranking by developing a relationship with your readers. If you write posts that are of interest to your readers they will leave more comments and write posts of their own linking back to your site. For example I wrote a couple of post pertaining to an wild and crazy birthday party for my dog Toby (my blog is about dogs). Several of my readers posted my link on their blogs telling of what a wonderful party it was even though it got out of hand. Linking through posts works better for me because it keeps me involved with my readers and what’s going on in their blogs as well. What people don’t understand is that blogging is a two-way street. If you don’t get out and visit other blogs and leave comments your traffic will be limited. I’m not really concerned with the Technorati rankings because I don’t get a lot of traffic from the Technorati site (not enough dog lovers I guess) and many of my readers aren’t registered with Technorati. I do get quite a bit from BlogCatalog and the DogsWithBlogs directory. Anyway, good luck with your blog and it’s nice to meet you.

I’d be willing to give it a go, but I’m not seeing any list. Is it just your site so far?

Unfortunately yes, and honestly I’m shocked. I’m tempted to put it up in huge bold type or something. Because this is I believe, the best idea I’ve found yet on the internet for traffic. It works incredibly, and just imagine the power it would have. Every new blogger that adds the list, will influence an entire new flood of visitors. I’m hoping that it will pick up at some point, maybe I just need to advertise it more. If you want to start it with me, by making the post on your blog, then I’ll be happy to add your blog to the “list” lol. And hopefully it will grow. I’ll tell some more of my online connections and maybe we can get this rolling. Let me know as soon as you make the post on your blog.

Thanks

Hey, I’ll post a link to your site. Personally I don’t care about technorati rank … and they obviously don’t care about me :) But I woud link to your blog just cause it’s a good one.

I hate to disagree but I’m inclining towards Colin’s suggestion and that’s what has worked for me too.

I’m not saying that Colin’s way is not a legitimate way to do this. It also works really well, and the best strategy would be to do both. However I believe the way I suggested would be faster, and take less effort. But either way, they both accomplish the same thing.

I have had this same idea and the only problem I see with it is actually get people to add the links. If you actually got a lot of people to do it, then it would be like a link directory. Not everyone will update but they may still enjoy the benefit of being on the list. I still think the best way to grow a site is organically. ;-)
