Three tips on maximizing your traffic from Twitter

If you are looking for new ways to get traffic at all, surely you have heard of Twitter. But whenever new sites like this come up, I’m always skeptical because there generally more work then their worth. It was like this with blogrush, fuel my blog, bumpzee, and many, many, more. What everybody is always looking for, is a site to give them traffic with minimal work. And Twitter, at least for now, has been giving that.
It’s an incredibly simple site. I couldn’t believe it the first time I saw it. You just have followers and you can see their updates. No forums, no voting thing, none of those timewasters, just the updates of your friends. Once you have made an account, you just post and update, just like facebook. And all your friends can read it.
Now my personal suggestions, for maximizing your traffic from it are these.
First, write in that update space, every time you write a new post with a link to the post. And also add a little seller’s pitch as to why it’s worth reading. Such as “My Secret to Making Money Online,” something like that. And then people will be interested and click on your blog post.
Second, Once you’ve made the account, in notifications, make it so you get emailed every time you get a new follower. This is really important, because you need to click on the link and add them right back. This makes a good impression and will help them want to read your blog. Nobody’s going to read a blog that’s to mean to respond.
Three, Add as many people as you can to be your followers. This is the one time consuming part of it, but it’s not as much time as you might think. All that is required is for you click on their profile and click follow. You don’t have to go through tons of links and stuff. However first though you need to find people to add, and with this sit eyou can’t just add random people, because you can only see things from your friends. So for starters, you can add me, and I’ll return the favor right away.
Then join this blog catalog group that I started about twitter. So that you can get the benefit of lots of people adding you. If you don’t have blog catalog already, Get It! That is essential to traffic growth, there’s too much great stuff on there to miss.
*Instructions for set up*
Are ridiculously simple, just register like you do for any other site. And then click home, and your at your profile. To add people you have to go to their twitter site, and there is a button that says follow next to their name, you just click that. And you add people who have followed you already, you just click followers on your profile page and click follow under their names. That’s pretty much it, if you want more help then just comment with your questions, and that goes for all posts as well.
