What Barack Obama can teach us about Blogging
Author: Will Fowler | Filed under: BloggersAlot can be learned from the 44th President of The United States about blogging. Whether you agree with the man or not, nobody can deny the fact that he has brought glamor to the white house again. It reminds me of the days of JFK, and thus should be rightly called Camelot 2.0. Barack Obama has inspired millions. and as I’ve watched his career, I’ve seen a few things that I think can help us all in our blogging pursuits. So without further adieu, “What Obama can teach us about Blogging.

1. Online, Everyone is Equal
Just over a year ago Barack Obama was sworn in as the first African American president. I think just in like politics where everybody is being accepted, the internet is the same. Race, color, age, or sex, none of it matters on the internet. It doesn’t matter if you’re seven years old, fifteen years old, or however old, anybody can succeed online. The internet is so diverse. Some bloggers are young, some old, male, female, of any and all races. The internet is awesome because there’s no prejudice online, everyone is equal, everyone has a chance. Don’t let anything about who you are stop you from trying to succeed online.
2. Determination Can Make the Difference
Barack Obama was virtually a nobody. Even after he begin to win some smaller caucuses, many people were still wondering, Who is Barack Obama. He came out of nowhere. A small state senator, he beat the Clintons at their own game, and didn’t get his hands dirty. (That we know of anyway) All along the way people were saying you can’t do it. They have more funds then you. This is the year of the women president. America isn’t ready for a black president, but he didn’t quit. When you are trying to succeed online, it can take months even years. You have to be determined even when you seem to be in a ditch. Barack Obama didn’t let the doubters stop him, and look where he is now.
3. Be Over Prepared
As the presidential race was thickening up, Barack Obama continued to inspire people, and succeed monetarily. Although the McCains have far more personal money to work with than Obama, he was still able to out spend John McCain by three times in the waning days of the campaign. This meant more video time, more speeches, and resulted in more voters. When starting an online business, having that extra thousand on hand can be the difference between success and failure. Maybe you need to wait one more year before starting out, so that you can make sure you have enough to go all the way.
4. Be Prepared To Take Risks
Barack Obama left the senate in only his first term in the senate, to run for presidency. That was incredibly risky. He was young, unproven, and not very well known by the people. He resigned from the senate only three years into his term, because he’d been made president talk about a risk paying off. Often in the online business world, we need to take risks. We need to jump out trusting our sources and our idea, and pray for success. Obama was willing to take a risk and it paid off tenfold.
Barack Obama has taught us all a lot. More then just how to inspire people, but also how to blog. I hope these tips will benefit you and your blog, as we watch the Presidential career of Barack Obama.

Those are great analogies. We all know how Obama used the power of the social media to get ahead in the presidential race but thanks for telling us how we can apply the same strategy to blogging and making money online
Social networking is a great outlet for free advertising. If you log on to Facebook and look at his fans it is amazing.

Making difference needs our honetly hard owrking.
Really he is legendary who achieved highly in his life through social media into politics, hats off to him.
Nice. But i think the biggest reason Obama won is because he promised change, used technology to the maximum and made it possible for even a $5dollar donor to be a part of his campaign.
I follow him on twitter and someone managing his account followed me back!
I also heard he brought in Mark Zuckerberg into his campaign.
Now that is CHANGE in campaigning!
